Privacy policy
This policy explains how Email Control Center accesses and handles Google user data. The application is a personal-use desktop tool operated by Zack Farrington.
Google data accessed
The application requests the Gmail read-only permission. It may access the selected account's identity, Gmail message and thread identifiers, labels, dates, size, history identifiers, and selected message headers needed for local classification and review. The initial baseline does not request message bodies, snippets, or attachments. Later incremental review may process a Gmail snippet in memory when metadata alone cannot resolve a new or changed message.
How data is used
Google user data is used only to classify mail locally, identify items that may need attention, maintain synchronization state, and create private local digests. It is not used for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or training a general-purpose model.
Storage and security
Runtime data stays on the owner's Windows computer. OAuth credentials are stored in Windows Credential Manager. Retained message metadata and assessments are kept in a private local database; message bodies and raw snippets are not retained. Assessments are retained for up to 13 months and rendered private digests for up to 90 days unless the owner deletes them sooner.
Sharing and disclosure
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. No Gmail data is hosted by this website. Aggregate, body-free operational summaries may be produced locally, but they contain no addresses, senders, subjects, snippets, message identifiers, or message bodies.
User control and deletion
The owner can revoke access from Google Account security settings at any time. Local authorization can also be revoked from the application, which removes its protected credential. Local application data can be deleted from the application's private data directory.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Email Control Center's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
